3 Fun Indoor Activities for Kids

Parents may need a little help thinking up new and fun activities for the kids during this time of social distancing, so here are a few you may not have experienced yet.

Here are 3 fun indoor activities that are great for kids:

  • The sock toss—This is a great bedroom game involving rolled-up socks and the clothes hamper. It can be combined with room cleaning for an added benefit. Just have the kids take turns tossing the socks into the hamper and back up a step for each successful throw.
  • Fort building—Kids love to build forts. Pillow forts are a favorite, and they are soft and fun to put together. You just need a bunch of pillows of various sizes and shapes. Towels, blankets, chairs, and tables can be used for a more elaborate creation. Cardboard boxes taped together are also a fast and fun method.
  • Domino knockdown—What kid (or adult, for that matter) doesn’t love watching a bunch of carefully placed dominoes fall one by one after the initial push. It can take several hours just to set up an elaborate arrangement. Let your child flip the first domino to start the chain reaction.
